Don't You Escape! I'll Tell You My Story

چکیده
This paper makes two contributions to increasing the engagement of users in virtual heritage environments by adding virtual living creatures. This work is carried out on the context of models of the Mayan cities of Palenque and Calakmul. Firstly, it proposes a virtual guide system. The guide navigates a virtual world and tells stories about the locations within it, bringing to them its personality and role, so that differently characterised guides will produce different stories. Secondly, it develops an architecture for adding autonomous animals to virtual heritage. It develops an affective component for such animal agents in order to increase the realism of their flocking behaviour and adds a mechanism for transmitting emotion between animals via virtual pheromones, modelled as particles in a free expansion gas.

didn't it? You felt human-a person, not just a piece of the furniture-or, worse still, an embarrassment to everyone, like a bad smell in a clean ward. Last week he told me the story of the guide at Niagara Falls, who says, "I'll bet you have nothing like this where you come from," and the little man from Glasgow who replies "No, but I know a good plumber who might be able to fix it for you." I ...

In early 1974, I was visiting the Watson Research Center and I got the idea of calling GSdel on the phone. I picked up the phone and called and GSdel answered the phone. I said, "Professor GSdel, I 'm fascinated by your incompleteness theorem. I have a new proof based on the Berry paradox that I 'd like to tell you about." GSdel said, "It doesn't mat ter which paradox you use." He had used a pa...
